Description

Wastewater from facilities that use oils and greases in their operations (car repair shops, body shops, car washes, etc.) can be treated with a gravity oil separation system.

In this case, water is introduced into static settling tanks where the oil separates on the surface, and the purified water can then be discharged. The stages used in this process are:

Settling and sludge removal, in order to retain the water long enough to separate settleable substances (sludge, soil, sand, etc.);

Oil separation, in order to create a calm chamber in which the oil can rise to the surface and be separated from the water by means of an overflow channel with mechanical adjustment;

Filtration through oil-absorbing panels, in order to further reduce oil concentrations in the outgoing water, to be used in special cases depending on the characteristics of the incoming water.
System sizing depends on the quantity of water to be treated, the concentration of oily substances and their physico-chemical composition, which must be analysed in each individual case.

Maintenance of the oil separator is simple and consists of the following operations:

periodic oil skimming;
sludge removal;
oil disposal.
Our production range includes oil separators with the following flow rates:

BM 1 up to 1 l/s
BM 3 up to 3 l/s
BM 10 from 3 to 10 l/s
BM 20 from 10 to 20 l/s
BM 30 from 20 to 30 l/s
BM 40 from 30 to 40 l/s
For flow rates above 40 l/s and up to 100-150 l/s, specific engineered solutions have been developed based on the requirements of each individual case.
