Description
Material:
corrugated monoblock container in linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) with PVC inlet and outlet nozzles. Class I oil separator according to UNI-EN 858-1 and UNI-EN 858-2, equipped with a removable coalescence filter made of polyurethane foam, steel and PVC. Function: oil separation of water coming from parking areas, service stations and car washes.
Use and maintenance:
Excessive accumulation of floating material on the surface reduces the volume available for separation; this risk increases when there are significant amounts of settleable substances, which deposit on the bottom of the system. It is strongly recommended to install grease separation and sand removal treatment upstream of the oil separator to prevent clogging of the filter mesh. To avoid the escape of solids and mineral oils that could compromise the quality of the discharged effluent, frequent inspections and pollutant removal operations every 6-8 months are recommended; maintenance will be more frequent when the system serves repair shops, oil storage areas or car washes. Deposits must be removed by specialised personnel and treated appropriately. Every one to two months it is necessary to remove the filter and thoroughly wash it upstream of the system.
